No. ZIPA does not charge submission fees. The award is structured as a merit-driven cultural initiative. Participation is open without financial barrier to ensure accessibility across geographies and economic contexts.

Yes. ZIPA follows a fully anonymous judging process at every stage, including shortlist deliberations and final jury discussions. All identifying information is removed before review, and jurors evaluate work solely on artistic and technical merit. Disclosure is mandatory. Undeclared AI intervention may result in award revocation.

How will the first round of image selection and filtering be conducted?

The initial round of evaluation will be carried out by a genre specialist from the jury panel corresponding to the submission category, ensuring that each body of work is assessed by a photographer with deep domain expertise and contextual understanding of that genre. Following this stage, the shortlisted entries will undergo peer review by other jury members, enabling a broader, cross-disciplinary evaluation.

Do sponsors influence judging outcomes?

No. Sponsors have zero voting rights  and no presence in jury deliberations. Governance and brand partnerships are institutionally separated.

Are previously awarded or published works eligible?

ZIPA permits previously awarded and published work. However, we encourage participants to share fresh and most recent work.

Is there a limit on submissions?

Yes. Submission caps may be implemented to maintain evaluative rigor and prevent volume-driven entry behavior.

What is the Editor’s Choice Award?

Editor’s Choice is an editorial recognition presented by the Chief-Editor of Creative  Zyne magazine. It highlights a limited number of works that personally resonated with the Chief-Editor for their narrative strength, visual sensibility, and editorial relevance. This selection reflects an individual curatorial perspective and is intended to celebrate artistic voices that align strongly with the magazine’s editorial vision. Editor’s Choice is independent of the jury process and does not form part of the official awards hierarchy, rankings, or competitive evaluation.

Is there prize money?

ZIPA does not award cash prizes. Recognition is structured around:

  • Institutional credibility, coming from 12 eminent jury members across the globe and brand partnership with Lumix;
  • Curated exposure through gallery exhibition and publication in the magazine and award book;
  • Editorial and archival inclusion, and
  • Long-term reputational value, with certificate, badge and interview opportunity.

The award emphasizes legacy and artistic talent recognition over monetary incentive.
