No. ZIPA does not charge submission fees. The award is structured as a merit-driven cultural initiative. Participation is open without financial barrier to ensure accessibility across geographies and economic contexts.
Yes. ZIPA follows a fully anonymous judging process at every stage, including shortlist deliberations and final jury discussions. All identifying information is removed before review, and jurors evaluate work solely on artistic and technical merit. Photographer identities are revealed only after final decisions are formally confirmed.
ZIPA differentiates clearly between:
- AI-assisted workflow enhancements
- Composite manipulation
- Fully generative synthetic imagery
Disclosure is mandatory. Undeclared AI intervention may result in award revocation.
The initial round of evaluation will be carried out by a genre specialist from the jury panel corresponding to the submission category, ensuring that each body of work is assessed by a photographer with deep domain expertise and contextual understanding of that genre. Following this stage, the shortlisted entries will undergo peer review by other jury members, enabling a broader, cross-disciplinary evaluation.
No. Sponsors have zero voting rights and no presence in jury deliberations. Governance and brand partnerships are institutionally separated.
ZIPA permits previously awarded and published work. However, we encourage participants to share fresh and most recent work.
Yes. Submission caps may be implemented to maintain evaluative rigor and prevent volume-driven entry behavior.
Editor’s Choice is an editorial recognition presented by the Chief-Editor of Creative Zyne magazine. It highlights a limited number of works that personally resonated with the Chief-Editor for their narrative strength, visual sensibility, and editorial relevance. This selection reflects an individual curatorial perspective and is intended to celebrate artistic voices that align strongly with the magazine’s editorial vision. Editor’s Choice is independent of the jury process and does not form part of the official awards hierarchy, rankings, or competitive evaluation.
ZIPA does not award cash prizes. Recognition is structured around:
